Seed II
Every little bit of this fighting
Wears a little bit of the shine away
Where the window view has been clouded
Rust and shaded through, one year more shrouded
Under weathering away
Does she want me?
Does she need me?
Does she have me?
Does she believe in me?
Every little bit of this silence
Fades a little bit, of the page away
Stays the the poet’s hand, halts the writing
Pause, remember now, thoughts colliding
Yet the turn of golden autumn wind
Carries far a seed home once again
Shepherds us to then come, gather in
Lay to rest of all that might have been
Shoulders, hands, though weary, worn, and raw
Rise beneath the yoke of ancient law
Seed to promised blossoms down the way
And she wants me
And she needs me
And she has me
And she believes in me
Where is she now? I’ve asked myself
You’d do more to ask someone else
For when she left is when I came
To pick up pieces of our shame
Since she’s been gone I’ve heard the call
Telling the story of our fall
Taking me back to yesterday
Where we once stood
Where we once stood
Where, oh
Where, oh
Where is she now? I’ve asked myself
You’d do more to ask someone else
But when we get this done for Him
Believe we’ll dance upon the wind
